
Victoria’s Acting Premier and Financial Officer have used the announcement of a $250 million business support package to take objective at the federal government for what they called a shortage of support for the state.
The Victorian Government has launched the $250 million Circuit Breaker Business Funding Package to assist small to medium businesses and sole traders, under the circuit breaker restrictions declared on 27 May 2021.
The package will help businesses unable to operate due to these essential public health measures, including directed support for the actions industry.
With safety gets such as JobKeeper no longer offered, this package offers essential support to businesses doing their part to help prevent Victorians safe throughout the circuit breaker action.
What includes in the Package:
- $190.01 million second round of the Business Costs Assistance Program
- $20 million in targeted support for the events industry.
- $40.7 million new round of the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund
This Circuit Breaker Business Support Package will aim to help up to 90,000 Victorian businesses affected by the covid-19 outbreak. The entire package is being sponsored by the state’s coffers.
